Empowering Somalian's Future
SESEDA to carry out strategic planning, improve governance accountability, strengthen fundraising and over all community engagement and partnership development effort. Â As a result, we have submitted numerous project proposals to various funders such City of Ottawa, Government of Ontario, Ontario Trillium Foundation, among others.

With the support of BBI grant, several grant applications sent to different funding public and not-for-profit institutions such as Ontario trillium Foundation, City of Ottawa, Heritage Canada, etc.

Explored partnership option with CHEO youth Net to secure funding and develop engagement, prevention and intervention strategy for youth mental health and substance abuse.

How SESEDA works
SESEDA Plan and coordinate multi-sector adolescent and youth empowering programs i.e., life skills, dealing with intergenerational gab, diversion, youth employment strategy and crime prevention in collaboration with multilevel stakeholders
01. Scale Up Youth
To scale up, through partnership and resource mobilization, the current youth life skills facilitation and development project.
02. Empower, Expand, Sustain
To develop and scaleup the existing community-based mental health promotion and prevention initiative.
03. Equitable Access Initiative
To improve access to social and health service by the racialized communities in Ottawa through strategic partnerships and resource.
04. Breaking Barriers of Youth
To research, identify and remove institutional barriers faced by refugee and immigrant ethno-cultural youth in Ottawa.
